1000 Ways to Die… and You Control Exactly Zero of Them
Let’s be honest, life is wild. There are literallya thousand ways to die. and most of them you’ll never see coming. You could choke on a peanut, trip over your own shoelace, get hit by a runaway wheelbarrow, or, heaven forbid, get knocked out by a falling coconut.
And yet, we walk around pretending we’re the ones in control. We cross-check expiration dates, drink detox smoothies, avoid carbs like they’re demons, and still bam! life reminds us that control is just a nice illusion. You can’t plan everything. You can’t predict everything. You can’t even sneeze in public without people looking at you like you triggered the apocalypse.
But here’s the funny part: God can
He’s the One who knows exactly how long you’ll live , not coconuts, not peanuts, not gravity, and certainly not your shoelaces. When the Bible says, “He has numbered your days,” it means that no accident, allergy, or clumsy moment can end your life before your assignment is complete.
So stressing about “what if” doesn’t make you safer; it just makes you tired. You can’t bubble-wrap your destiny. You can’t duct-tape danger out of existence. The only real safety net is trust.
Trust that God is the scriptwriter, not you. He’s seen every plot twist, every blooper, every near miss, and somehow, you’re still here, breathing, reading this, and maybe even laughing a little. That means He’s not done with your story.
So go live, laugh hard, eat the peanut (maybe chew carefully ), wear your shoelaces proudly, and rest easy knowing this:
You might not have control, but you have a God who does. ✨
