Ignorance Is Infectious Check Your Basket

Let us be honest. Ignorance is not just a personal weakness like forgetting where you kept your charger or calling someone three times before remembering you put your phone on silent. No. Ignorance can actually grow legs, pack a small Ghana Must Go bag, and relocate from one generation to the next if nobody stops it.

The Bible already warned us.

Hosea 4 verse 6 says, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Not harassed, not troubled, not mildly inconvenienced. Destroyed. Full finish. That is how powerful ignorance is.

And the funny part is this: you can be transferring ignorance without even knowing you own it. Family traditions do not need a meeting before they continue. One person carries nonsense, the next person collects it like inheritance. It is like passing a basket around. If your basket is full of error, guess what everybody after you will receive Very simple. More error.

Just imagine this scene for a moment.

You walk into a family function. Everybody is holding a basket. You open yours expecting wisdom and truth, only to find coconut heads behavior in the form of half baked ideas, recycled foolishness, and expired beliefs from 1962 still causing trouble. Next thing, you start handing it out to your children and grandchildren like party souvenirs.

This is why Proverbs 4 verse 7 says, Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. And with all your getting, get understanding.

Scripture did not say get vibes.

Scripture did not say get assumptions.

Scripture did not say get what Aunty Ngozi said on Facebook.

It said get understanding.

Because what you carry in your heart is exactly what you pass on.

If you store foolishness, foolishness graduates with distinction and moves into the next generation.

If you store truth, wisdom, and the counsel of God, then that is what becomes your family legacy.

So before you drag that basket into your future, pause.

Check it.

Remove the nonsense.

Add scripture.

Add truth.

Add wisdom.

Add sense.

And ask God to help you break every cycle you did not intentionally create but somehow inherited.

Your family deserves more than recycled ignorance disguised as culture.

Your children deserve truth, not confusion.

And generations after you will thank you for cleaning your basket.

  1. Truly refreshing. I hope this message gets across to more people. It's deeply saddening when ignorant people have an opportunity to spread information, just because they're older than most or they're well to do. Fools grow old too, fools have money too. Let's not take ignorant words and apply it in our lives.
This is a hugely important information 💯
I'm refreshed to have read it.
