Have You Died to Your Flesh?

In every human, one of these two must rule your life, your flesh or your spirit. As a child of God, the spirit of God dwells within you so when you're being led by the spirit that dwells within you, you're in the right, but as an unbeliever, being led by either your flesh or spirit leaves you at a loss. You need to step into the light, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and live as you have been called to.
HAVE YOU DIED TO YOUR FLESH?
To die to the flesh means to continually resist the powerful demands of our weak flesh. It means to starve/deny your flesh of its carnal desires.
This is a difficult task but the scriptue says, "not by power nor by might, but by my spirit says the Lord". (Zechariah 4:7)
St. Paul wrote that if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the spirit, you put to death the deeds of the body (the flesh), you will live, for all who are led by the spirit are sons of God. (Romans 8:13-14)
There's a general believe that we will be happier when we gratify our flesh but we must remember daily that all we are dying to is death, eternal condemnation, lust, sexual immorality, covetousness, evil desires, etc. Anything or action you know is not adding value to your life should be cut off.
Examine yourself, are there activities you participate in that add no value to your spirituality?  Your flesh may deceive you to believe it is fun but genuinely ask yourself if this "fun" activity adds to your spiritual growth and that of your neighbour (friend, family) or if it has no value to your spirituality.
Jesus Christ commands us to watch and pray, for there is a way that seems right but leads to destruction. We need to be led by the spirit at all times, remain alert, pray always, walk by our faith in Jesus's words, choose life everyday by dying everyday.

Don't underestimate the seed God put in You!


Everything has a seed. I have come to understand that seeds carry all the power. Seeds are small, they look dormant, they can't talk, can't walk but they are not dead. They are very much alive!. A seed is termed a non living thing but it has the potential of bringing forth life.

The seed of a baby begins when the mans sperm fertilizes the woman's egg.It takes at least 3 months for the mother to begin to feel the movement of the baby.

Seeds can overcome a lot of challenges. A human seed though fragile goes through a whole lot but it survives and becomes a baby.
A tiny seed put into the ground will break forth even though the ground is hard. Seeds break through from rocks to grow.

The seed that God has put in you is greater than your opposition and your challenges! Your seed is powerful!. God did not give us a seed that is easily crushable. You may be from a poor background,your life may be full of challenges but Don't underestimate the seed God put in You!

Seed is Inborn; Your abilities are yours! My abilities are mine!
When God put the seed, He put the strength in you to push the seed forth.

Potential is not limited to eyes,nose, legs or physical structure. Being blind did not limit Stevie Wonders seed! He sings better than a lot of us who have eyes because his seed is intact.

I pray God gives us the grace and the wisdom to find our seed, sow it and bear fruit to His glory in Jesus Name

God Is Full Of Concern For You!

God is Full of Concern for You!

“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145:8-9‬ ‭

Compassion means to be sympathetic, to pity, to show concern for the sufferings and misfortunes of others.

God is full of compassion! Full of pity,full of mercy,full of sympathy, full of concern.


Have you had a loved one who is sick and in your compassion you want the person to suffer and die? Obviously not!

As human beings we understand we can be compassionate but we find it difficult to understand that God is full of compassion.
It cannot be said of humans that we are full of compassion but God is!

We sometimes forget that our God is a compassionate merciful God!

Remember that the bible says "When he (Jesus) went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick"Matt 14:14

Why did he heal the sick? Because he had compassion on them.

God said in Isaiah 49:12 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you"

God is saying that He always has compassion on His Children.

Matthew 9:36 the bible records that "When he (Jesus) saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd"

When Jesus saw the woman crying over the death of her son. The bible records that
“When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭

He raised the boy from the dead because of the compassion He had on the mother.

God is concerned about everything that concerns you. When we begin to understand how full of compassion God is towards us! Our relationship with God takes a new meaning.

I pray God will open our eyes to understand His love for us now and always through Christ Our Lord!

Who Labelled You?

Who Labelled You? 

Sometimes we label ourselves unfit before we even face the battle. We only hear that there might be a challenge and we decide that its impossible for us to achieve it. 

The bible notes that the people of Israel went to take a look at the promised land and they all agreed that it was really really fruitful but all of them except 2 said 'well but we are like grasshoppers so we might as well forget it. We cannot, we will never be able to, we are too weak, too small, too .....

Numbers‬ ‭13:27, 33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.

.

There we saw the giants ( the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.””

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭13:27, 33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

They labelled themselves unfit! When we saythings like " I know i can't" 'I am a slow learner' "I am not as smart' "Its beyond me". With words like this,we declare ourselves failures before the exams begins.

Once i hear someone say " i know myself, i am not good at this or that", i already know that that opportunity is lost to you.

Just as we label ourselves unfit, sometimes we get labelled by people around us. Our parent may label us as unproductive or irresponsible, our teachers may label us as a slow learner. Society may label us unmarriable, a geek or ugly.

Just like a product cannot label itself so also the producer is the only one who can label and write out the capabilities and limitations of a product.

God labels us and tells us in Phillipians 4:13"“But we have the mind of Christ.”‬‬, “And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So please next time you think you cannot achieve something,ask yourself if that is what God labelled you or if you labelled yourself.

I pray that God will open our eyed to know that His grace which is sufficient for us is all we need. I ask this for His love's sake.

(Do Something Natural and Expect Gods Blessings)

In the Story of Elijah in 1 kings 17:5-6, the bible notes “And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook” (1 Kings 17:5-6).

I want us to note that there was a supernatural supply of bread and flesh, but there was also a natural supply of water.  The water wasn’t a supernatural supply. It was already there and had been for thousands of years. It was natural.

When God calls you to do something, the provision is not totally supernatural. There are also natural things that will meet your needs.”

Some of us are just expecting God to rain money out of heaven without any natural action.  But God’s supply is both supernatural and natural.

We need to keep things in balance. God has given us all talents and abilities. If we rely only on ourself for provision, we will face a lot of worries and pressure and if we rely only supernatural provision,we might find yourself in trouble!

God can meet Your Needs through your talents and abilities.

The Bible says the Lord will bless the work of your hands. A hundred times zero equals zero (100 x 0 = 0). Do something, even if it’s just a little.

Crave Wisdom

Crave Wisdom!

The bible says " Wisdom is profitable to direct" Ecclesiastes 10:10

This means that the advantage of wisdom is that it brings success. 

Sometimes we expect God to do things that He has already given us wisdom to do. 

When God created man, he knew that we would need to brush our teeth, take our bath, cook food, have shelter, write our thoughts, travel long distances etc but he did not create or send toothpaste from heaven, or stove for cooking, or books for writing, or ships, car, motorcycles for move

He equipped us with the wisdom to create and produce the things we need. 

We forget sometimes that we have wisdom or that all we need is wisdom.

Wisdom helps us create, to succeed, to build, to recover, to enlarge, to achieve and to do exploits in every area of our lives; marriage,parenting, business, relationships etc

Solomon knew the value of wisdom. Let us seek wisdom and ask God who gives liberally without upbraiding.

I pray that God will give us hearts that yearn to be Wise through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
