When The Promise Seems Like a Lie!

BASIC SCRIPTURE:

EXODUS 14:1-14

There are seasons when God’s promises seem like vanities and His faithfulness seem like His faultiness! When God works a great miracle in your life it’s very easy to forget quickly and slip back into fear. That is what happened to the children of Israel.

They had just been brought out of Egypt by God’s mighty hand but when they faced difficluties, they began to murmur: THEY HAD FORGOTTEN THEIR PAST DELIVERANCE STORY!

The Red Sea was before them, they couldn’t move forward, the Egyptian army was marching towards them and drawing closer and they couldn’t go backwards. They were paralysed! Then they started to lift up their tongues and cry out to Moses  in Despair:

“ Why  didn’t you leave us in Egypt; it would be better for us to die there , at least we would be given a proper burial… “What was the guarantee that they would have had a befitting burial in Egypt under Pharaoh!

Listen: Looking at the might of your obstacle create irrational thinking that provokes spiritual stupidity! Fear had clouded their thinking. God had promised to deliver them from the land of bondage and to bring them into the land of promise but that promise was no more on their minds because of life’s battles!

The present challenge mad the promise sound like a lie. But even in delay you must refuse to think that God is a liar! You must Fight back with faith God has never made a promise that He cannot keep.

Always remember what Alcott Amos Bronson said: “Success is sweet and sweeter if long delayed and gotten through many struggles and defeats.”

Just as Moses told the people, the Holy Ghost is declaring to you today: “ stand still ( refuse to worry) and see the salvation of the Lord…

”As you refuse to quit, your turn will come and the world will hear your story in Jesus name! Pray now!

PRAYER POINTS: Take a song of worship as you are led.

Pray  on any personal lesson learnt from today’s word.
Every evil plot of the wicked one to take my eyes off the goodness and mercy of God BE SCATTERED NOW in Jesus name.

Declare aloud now: “ The Lord My God is with me he fights for me therefore I CANNOT be defeated. Enemies of my progress enemies of my destiny wherever you are located scatter by fire NOW in Jesus name.“

Pray about today seriously FAVOR SHALL BE YOUR NEW NAME IN JESUS SWEETEST AND EXCELLENT NAME.AMEN.
